Is anyone else headed to the NNL East in NJ today?
After a 30 year hiatus, decided to try my hand at a few builds. I found this kit at my local store on sale.

Looks great!
I finished this one a few weeks ago. Tamiya 911 GT1 with Ricambi decals.
Note that there is a model car show at this year's Challenge, will there be any competition for my Toyobaru's mini-me this year?

Interested.
Me three.
Also, Auto World re-released the *excellent* Lincoln Mark VII Pro Street kit:

I haven't built one of those since I was like 14. I'm sure whatever I do would be E36 M3 but I'm in...just need the rules if we do it.
Is there a preferred glue that you guys use? It's been a long time since I've built one of these kits.
My glue of choice is Faller. Has a nifty little needle tip to dispense it. If it clogs, just heat it with a lighter.
Testors glue can go berkely itself.
I'm up to probably 8-10 unbuilt kits waiting for my attention.
I'd need at least March 1st as a deadline, if not longer. Coaching and helping my wife with the store when I'm not teaching leaves little time. But I need to do something.
I have 2 serious partial builds stalled on the bench for the last month.....3-1 for motivation, 4-1 for possible reality, but I am in.
Any suggestions for a good, readily available snap together kit? Would like to get something for my kiddo to work on while I dig into mine.

Stick with a model of a car that was produced in this century and you should be OK. Models of old cars mostly are old molds that were worse to start and have lots of wear issues.
Should this be a monthly contest? That way no one is rushed. if you don't make it one month, submit it the following.
Rules similar to the Riddler in that it has to be a new build. No in-build pics until it's done and you can only submit it once. Votes would be via "likes" which I believe we can only do once per post?
Maybe a standard photo submittal group, ie, box top, engine before it's in, finished top, finished bottom.
I suck at it but I love it so I'm in monthly or not.
You'll need to log in to post.
