I checked the steering wheel this morning, and the Plastidip seems pretty secure. I’m able to flex & twist the rim without any wrinkling/cracking/peeling of the Plastidip. The finish is glossier in some places & more matte in others, but that will probably change somewhat with wear.
I’m anxious to get it mounted & see how it holds up!

Post a follow up on how it lasts. A leather cover over top would extend life if you like the look/feel.
There are firms that specialize in reconditioning stock wheels and removing the OEM covering to replace it with fake wood. I tried one on my GM sports car and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality!

I definitely will! I don’t drive much though, so the MS summer sun may do as much damage as wear & tear would.
