Does the Supra use font and rear subframes? Or does everything just bolt to the unibody?

Sean Korb (sp?) built a first gen Mustang with Supra bits under it for Challenge money. The "Suprang".

If you're going through all that trouble, is there a reason to not use something more conventional like Corvette parts (at least in front)? There's more than a few people out there doing this sort of thing and it seems like following along might have some advantages as far as parts availability and setup knowledge.
