I just found out that Cobra will be the featured car at the Monterey historics next summer; I want to go. What hotel should I try to book??
One that's got rooms available 
. Seriously, set yourself a budget and stick to it, it's going to get expensive anyway. Anything in Monterey or Carmel that has rooms available should be OK-ish, unless you have a more than decent budget you'll have to take what you can get.
