A friend of mine used to have one almost exactly like that, only blue with white top. I was in the passenger seat when he totaled it some time in the late 80's.

I didn't know the Town Coupes came with the V8. I've seen a few, but they were all fastbacks. Not very fast, and they're really just a Vega with another body.

I want one badly . . . I found one that was ultra cheap. But it had holes in the floorboards I could stick my hand through

I had a v8 Vega (kissing cousins) with a similar moderately healthy 350 and turbo 350 trans with some work done to it. It was the fastest car I have ever owned from 0 to the gearing limited 140. The chassis flexed a bunch and the brakes sucked but it was Very Very entertaining. Its was kinda junky feeling 20 years ago, but that would be a lots of fun car.

This is basically the same as Wheels777's Pontiac Sunbird Formula that he is working to revive.

My buddy in HS had the Pontiac version in blue with a white interior, V6 and a stick. We were rear-ended on the way to school one morning. I was in the back and my head smacked the rear window on impact. Ouch.

That emblem brought me right back to the 70's. I remember staring at that from the seat of my bicycle, not sure exactly what it meant.
