I have an old Chevy P/U that is a future project. Problem is I need to be able to move it but it doesnt run and the front drum brakes are tight, not to mention the LSD in the diff is tight. I dont have enough ass to push it. Short of eating more doughnuts what do you guys and gals use to move those projects that weigh a couple of tons?

I was thinking about making a pusher/ puller out of a golf cart motor.
What Yavus said! They are the cheapest ($50-60 for two) at Tractor Supply Company and pretty good build quality too. On each one of mine two of the casters lock so it won't go anywhere by itself.
If you want to get spendy you can get the kind with the jack built in. $325 each

I've seen someone who has a steel ring in the floor of the garage and halfway down the driveway. He uses a come-along to pull it in and out.

same here - pushbumpers on the P71. or i strap a couple tires to my snowplow - it's awesome for pushing stuff around because i can angle it and put it right where i want.
Remove the drums, push straight....
lawn tractor and a tow rope....usually works for me....'cept that one time that the tractor ran over the loose end of the rope and got tangled up and went end over end....when it flipped the car started rolling and dragged me and the upsideown..still running...tractor down the driveway....if only someone had been taping, it was an AFV moment for sure.
How far do you have to move it?
I recently yakked a Cadillac onto a tow dolly with a come-along. Worked fine, removing it was down hill.

Ditto.
I use a come-a-long all the time to move cars. All you need is an extra length of rope (to extend it) and some handy trees........and patience.
For safety sake, don't stand in the line of fire, like between the dolly and tow vehicle when winching. ALWAYS expect that cable to snap right now. That way if it does, or slips off the car you are not caught off guard.

comealong FTW, got a 4 ton from Northern Tool for $50, huge braided stainless with both single hook and pulley hook, pulls our 2500lb merkur with tight rear drums up a tow dolley no sweat...

I like that idea. My dad has a hangar at our local airport and many of the guys with big float planes and twins have something similar to pull their planes. They are all built like crap though and break all the time. Hopefully yours is better.
