Looking to make some mudflaps for the 944 rally car and just curious how many people have made their own and what type of rubber sheet you used to cut them out of.

I have rally armors on my focus ST and am debating just pulling one off for a general idea of shape and working from there.

That or if I'd be better off just amazon ordering a cheap set.

I heard thicker silicone cutting mats/boards work good. I also just bought a set off rally armors though.

That's a good idea. Looks like I can purchase it for a reasonable price too.

Thanks guys!

I was going to say.....wait for it................Mud flaps. As in buy one that is intended for a semi and cut into four properly sized pieces for your application.

I went to Rural King and bought one dump truck mudflap. Nice thick rubber with enough material for 4 average size car flaps.

I bought the cheap (low-end) rally armor ones in the "Truck/SUV" size for the rallycross e30. They've held up well to 4 years of abuse.

I bought their cheap set for the Hyundai and they were still fine when I sold it last month, after 5-years of hard use/abuse.
