My first car is on BAT! I just happened to stumble on this.

I actually daily drove it to high school in more or less this condition back in 2008-2010.

I would have bid but it is already going for about twice what I last sold it for. Maybe I'll have better luck next time it pops up
Ha, that's awesome. My wife's 2000 Civic Si recently came up for sale. While it would have been cool to buy it back, we're full at the moment.
My brother independently sent me that listing as my first car was an orange 78 fiesta.
Very cool! Did you do any of the upgrades??
I did a lot of little things that I still see in the car. Relocated the battery, tach, hood pins, mirror, things like that. It was a true itc car when I had it so a lot of the performance stuff was done after.
Not my first but I also had an orange 78 Fiesta S. I still think those Fiestas are the best looking small hatchbacks. Nice simple lines and look great modded.

I agree, I don't really understand why the golf was so popular and the Fiesta was pretty much ignored.
It's funny to read a snooty high-dollar-auction styled description of a grassroots race car It's just too bad it doesn't have any ghettofabbed parts on it so that I could hear them call it "bespoke"
I've seen that car at Pagoda, it is as clean and straight as the day it left the factory. Lovely little car.

Not to brag, but I did use the battery ground off of a Ferrari when I relocated the battery. I made sure everyone knew it had Ferrari parts.

I wish I had taken pictures of the car before I did the body work. The actual paint job was Maaco and it has apparently held up very well 11 years later.
