Well first trackday on 4 wheels, used to track an R6 years ago.
'90 Miata, stock drivetrain, Poly bushes throughout, FM Vmaxx non-adj, FM sways, NB Sport brakes with Carbotech XP 10/8 F/R, FM framerail/butterfly brace, HDHCDD roll bar. 15x8 ET20 Konig Flatouts with 205/50 R888s running 35psi hot, thinking I need to up it for the next time based on how far over I was getting on the side.
We were running at clockwise at Hallett, which is opposite of the "normal" direction.
A few pics!
And me screwing up "The Bitch" the first session Sunday morning with an instructor in the car!
In a little hot....
And dumping the right rear off the curbing on exit....
A much better line through "The Bitch".......being chased by a 'Vette. They didn't get point-bys until after the bus stop, a few Vettes and a Viper were holding me up on the back side of the track.
Hopefully lowering the car all the way around ( I was running at the highest suggested settings) will help out with this. Hard on the brakes into the bus stop......
Thats awesome, looks like a good time from here.

Looking good. Think your bodywork is straighter than mine keep finding little dents
Makes look forward to my first track day. That will come next year at Sebring. Looks like a great time was had!
Thanks Gents, it was a blast. I've already signed up for next months event (unfortunately I'll only get to attend Sat and not sun), and they are having a special HST-only day (High Speed Touring is what they call the track days for us non-racing folks), in November that I will attend.
The Nov event will give us 7 sessions for the day vs the normal 5. I'll have to make sure I bring a gas can since 5 sessions just about completely empties the Miata tank.
Looks good. 35 psi seems plenty firm.
^It felt good, I'm just concerned with how much the tires were rolling onto their sides...
Great pics!
I need... Okay, want badly, to do more track days, two wheels and four.

Just chalk them next time?
OH and I forgot to add, got a chance to meet Eddie Hill of Top Fuel/Dragboat fame this past weekend and my dad got an autographed booklet from him.
Super nice guy, drives a nasty ariel atom at Hallett nearly every month. At 79!
It made my dad's day, he was a huge fan of his when he was still racing.
Excellent!
That tire pressure does seem a bit low. The RA1 likes more like 39-42 psi hot. I'm not as familiar with the R888, but the Spec guys seemed to be split on how best to set them.
what spring rates are you running?
Looking good out there. What spring rates are you running?
I'm running the FM VMaxx non-adjustable coilovers.

Web site says they are 391/258 F/R.
Thanks. I am seriously considering them for my sts build.
