So Mazda decided the trim around the shifter in the ND needed to be silver metal like plastic. The main issue with this is that the silver trim is in the perfect location to blind the berk out of you. *note: the steering wheel and airbag emblem do the same thing but arnt as easy to do.
I used some 3M Black Shadow Camouflage I got off amazon because I didnt want to do carbon fiber like everyone else. I think it came out well and you cant see the mistakes since the sides are covered up and the shift boot covers the center.

Nice work - almost looks like some odd factory option.
I wish it, the steering wheel and the the chrome trim around the infotainment screen came not silver/chrome.
I've been wanting to the the lids to my side cases on the bike but everyone says it won't work because it won't stick to plastic. But then I see something like this and think it will.

I currently have three vehicles with the blinding trim option on the console. The Accord is the worst. I keep a rag in there to cover the shifter surround when we travel. Interior designers responsible for this sort of thing should be tortured.

Difficulty: toddler. (Just kidding!) now you’re ready to tussle with a 60 footer, a heat gun, and a vehicle with more Contours than a Ford!

I love it! I am getting ready to make some custom door cards for my daily driver NB, and I plan to wrap them in that same vinyl. I was thinking I would try to do the center console trim as well to tie it all together.
