So guys, I have never owned new alloy wheels aside from when I had new cars, and the only time I had alloys I cared about that were new was when I had my RX-8 4-5 years ago,so I forget. what is the best way to keep these looking great, and also what is the proper torque setting for the lugs? I set them at 90 ft lbs.,but I am unsure if that is correct. Any help would be appreciated.

So my wife went to the RMV today, and got me on the road. I took the car out for a spin with the boys, and then played a bit with the carbs to get it running better. It still isn't perfect, but I think I am getting closer. One problem I encountered though was with my fat ass in the drivers seat the rear drivers side tire is in very close proximity to the wheel opening lip. While driving down a winding bumpy road I heard the drivers side rear tire rub on the fender lip. The passengers side has plenty of space, and I think maybe the drivers side has settled over the 31+ years of life. Anything I can do to fix this short of going on a diet? I have no idea how to roll a fender lip,but this is probably the most logical idea. Can it be done without breaking the paint?
Anyone in the MA area familiar with SU carbs that could help me get these tuned better?
