So the Supra project is nearing an end. I should have it on the road shortly, and I am thinking about my next project. I have the donor car sitting at home just begging for a V8 swap.
I am thinking the 1987 Supra would be a decent (regional level) XP car, RTA Super Modified Class car, and possibly a good candidate for the UTCC in JV Independent, and depending if I can get the transmission cheap enough, a 2012 challenge car...
So, LM7 + T-56 + MA70 = ?
The idea for now is to pick up a cheap LM7 truck motor, what are the best mods for this engine? I have heard it is a cam away from making decent power.
The T-56 will be the expensive part, and I already have the stripped out 1987 Hardtop Manual (one of the lightest and stiffest MA70 chassis) Supra.
Anyone have any insight? Places to start? anyone make a "swap kit"?
I like where this is going!
I wholeheartedly support your awesome idea.
enable, enable, enable...
Thanks Tommy!
Anyone want to join the build? I bet the Hongs need a new challenge car for 2012, give me a shirt, and the Supra can be "our" entry....
I have no information or insight. But I think this is a great bad idea.
Sure hope that picture is photoshopped.

Well, I missed this the first time. I just found this:

But looks like you don't need that part.
