I loved both of my MX6s!

Did you have both a V6 and a four-cylinder one?

Yes, I bought the Ruby Red V6 new from Lindell Mazda, seven weeks before the 1993 Solo Nationals.  A set of "R" tires, and it was ready to go. It would eventually get Konis and lighter Enkei wheels. I sold it in late 1995.

A couple years later, I stumbled across the bright red 4-cylinder MX6 parked in the neighborhood with a "For Sale" sign in the windshield. It got shocks and Enkeis right away, made two trips to the Nationals and brought Sharron her first Solo national title.

I know we have photos somewhere...

I've owned 11 rotary powered cars.  1 first gen, 2 rx8, 8 second gens.  Not too many pics of any of them.

I'll see if I can edit later with 2nd gen pics.

I assume a 1993 dodge spirit with 3.0 liter Mitsubishi motor doesn't really count.  That mother berkeleyer would roast the tires everywhere it went!

Does an 82 count?  And does it still count if you bought it new?  Not real familiar wit "Rad era".  Mine is the tail end of Malaise era, but that's fixed pretty easily with more motor, better gear, overdrive and a supercharger.

If it has creases and mostly flat panels and looks good on white letter tires (whether it has them or not) then it's rad era.  Personal opinion of course.

This pretty much defined the 80s and vice versa.

Third generation F bodies definitely belong!

My fleet from a couple years ago: 1991 Festiva and 1991 325i. Please excuse the Yamaha Vino, it was an '06.

I wish I could find a pic of my E36 M3, but that was before I had an iPhone.

I did find a pic of my old Miata at least. I'm realizing 4 of the 6 cars I've owned have been rad wood material.

Danny fails to mention that he won G Stock with that brand-new MX6 at the 1993 Nationals.

Turns out, after I finally found enough time to look at the article, I am, in fact, Rad Era myself.

This one just missed being torched by the arsonist that lit up an old Ford truck at my shop.

I guess there's this, too.

I'm stuck in the past, ain't I?

A sleeper car from the 1980's - my boss told us salemen that we were to drive 4 door sedans in order to be reimbursed for mileage.  So, I bought a new 1984 manual rear drive Datsun/Nissan Maxima (the last of its kind).  Because I have always considered every new car that I buy to be unfinished, I went thru this car from bumper to bumper while keeping it totally stock looking . . . well, almost . . . the tires and stock looking wheels were the widest that would fit and the exhaust tip was bigger.  Starting up front, in went the following: biggest radiator that would fit, the motor was replaced with a 280Z motor with all the goodies, header & big exhaust, lightened flywheel with HD clutch/pressure plate, LSD rear with 280Z gears; bigger brakes all the way around, biggest sway bars available along with strut bars and Koni adjustables.  I kept it at stock height but it did get lower with the lower ratio tires in order to keep the stock appearance.  Of course, the interior was totally stock with bucket seats.  I had put over 190K miles on it when I sold it.
