I was changing the timing belt and the crankshaft pulley was pretty stuck.  Used a pry bar to get it off and it broke at the edges. Got a new pulley from Mazda and it is very difficult to get back on. Tried to install it by tightening the crankshaft bolt to press it on and it is very difficult to keep it aligned for the woodruff key. So new, mature-ish me decided to stop before I get it stuck too. Thoughts?

I think SOP is to heat it in the oven to about 200-250dF for half an hour, then pop it on.  But verify that before you try it.
