This guy has a ton of them and he claims most have titles. "Make an offer..." He's got at least 10 showing in Carbondale, IL. NMNA

My neighbor when I was a kid, had about 4 or 5 of these at one time. His wife had one as her first car and he had them to make one good one. It was beautiful, a convertible.
Sad to say that most if not all will likely end up crushed. Still no real money in restoring them (especially that far gone) and most are afraid of the engines. Considering they are in IL, they have to riddled with rust so parts are less useful also.
I know, I know... thanks captain bummer.
Corvair's and VW's definitely are/were popular with hoarders because they could be gotten so cheap for so long. Super easy to get a bunch if you have room to store them.
Corvairs are cars it makes no sense to buy one that is rough when there are numerous good ones for affordable prices. Supply/demand. Corvair fans saved those things like crazy when GM killed them, so a much higher percentage survive.
I sometimes fantasize about building a Lemons car around a 'Vair engine as a "poor man's Porsche"... By the time you got done with figuring out how to make it run right you'd probably have been better off going with something easier.
