In true grassroots fashion I relocated my lower control arms for my mini-jeep UTV. I need to find taller shocks to go with the increased distance between the control arm and frame.
Is there an online listing for coil springs that I can search by height/OD/etc? I found an online parts catalog for shocks, but nothing for springs.
Stock it had .75 thick wire, with 4.5 OD, 3.0ID and was 9" long. I've added 4.5" to the mount so I'll need to go with a longer spring. Both ends of the stock spring are ground flat.
Thanks
Moog and other manufacturers generally have a 'buyers' guide' in the back of their catalogs with that type of information. I haven't seen them online but most parts houses don't mind you perusing their paper catalogs.
Not trying to be a wise guy, but you realize that a taller spring with the same wire OD is going to be a lot softer, right? i.e. to keep the same spring rate you'll need to go with thicker wire.
In reply to Jensenman:
Yep, I figure I'm going to go much much much softer that stock. With 5 active coils in the stock spring I'm looking at over 1200lbs/in spring rate......not really much of a spring at that point.
I'm thinking a more realistic spring rate to soak up some bumps would be about a quarter of that at most.
You can get Eibach Race Springs from Ground Control in various length's, diameters, rates etc.

check out speedwaymotors.com too you can search springs by rate, height, end shape, etc...
