not exactly motorsports, but i really dont like the subaru forums....

anyway, we have a daily driven 2002 legacy 2.5 gt wagon. somehow my wife broke the rear window squirter off at the top of the hatch. just gone.....

i cannot seem to find it listed anywhere, and now it leaks water in. i need one. ideas? places to buy one? where i live, subarus really dont exist unless a WRX. so salvage yard isnt really an option here, unless youve got a local one, can nab the part, and send it to me....

Dorman Help! has a universal kit for hood-mounted applications. Would something like this help?

Its the same part on on the subie wagons. If you can find a wrx wagon in the junkyard, you are good to go.

I'll grab one next time I'm at the local yard. There were a few of those model years last time I was there.

I'm hoping that I'm reading this in the correct form of sarcasm....

And that kind of stuff is why I stay over here, even for the dailys. I even get it on the musclecar forums occasionally.

I'm also still trying to figure out how she broke it off. I have no ligicazl explanatiion other than maybe the plastic was brittle and the car wash hit it just right.

I suspect this is /sarcasm. Reason being, while typed grammatically correct for a flatbiller, there's still entirely too much sentence structure for it to be real.

Sounds like a perfect time to give your local stealership a call! Piddly parts like this aren't worth trying to get used, IMO. The local parts counter should be able to get one for less than $20 without much trouble.

One of my favorite Subaru board posts was from a guy who was just desperate to figure out a way to safely do handbrake turns in his Impreza. I think he had an automatic, and he was wondering if it was OK to lock out the AWD electrically (easy to do) so he could play with the handbrake. Fidelity101, that last comment of yours kind of reminded me of this guy... the really, really funny thing is that, if memory serves, handbrake-boy pursued this line of inquiry for months, maybe years, in different threads, under different IDs, etc.
