As the title suggests... I'm on the hunt for a manual steering rack from an RA6x Celica
It appears to be about an inch further left, AND splayed over at a bit more of an angle..... which should allow enough room for the exhaust to pass in the hemi Mark II
So I've not yet found this... came close twice so far - both times on Facebook, one was sold just as I came across it, and the other I've not heard back from the person who has the rack...... (he is looking to sell the whole RA front cross member)
So... I'm looking for the hives help in locating me that Celica manual rack.
Just to be sure . . . just 1982 to 1985 and just Celicas?

That would be correct.... Supra didn't have a manual rack option, and we didn't get the Carina here. It is also listed for the diesel Corona (in Europe) - so little chance of getting one from that car....
82-85 Celica manual rack is it
I found one here but verify my search

I'm may head to Phx area in a week or so if no one else here is near there.

worth a call....
I did a search on car-parts.com and 5 cars are listed. but none actually had a manual rack....
Just as a suggestion.
It would help greatly if you put the YMM of the car in the title when you are looking for something.
FC is another big one as it can be a Miata or an RX7. I see FC and am like I have a parts stash for that. . .. . Open the thread and Ohhhhh it is a Miata. LOL
I actually opened the thread as I had no clue what a RA6 was.

Don't know if it has a manual rack but could be worth a call.

I agree with your point, but miata are all "N". NA6, NA8, NB, NC, ND.

And I did not know that!! Shows how much I know about miatas. Then why were people referring to miatas as FC and FD a in another thread? Did that person just mix up N and F? I don't have a clue on the Miata nomenclature.
I suppose so. The rx7 Vin numbers include those letters. I'm pretty sure miatas do not

Thank you... but from their photos.... it is a power rack
The most likely model to have a manual; rack would have been the lowly "ST"
acquired... locally if you can believe it...

In an old issue of Mopar Action, Ehrenberg wrote that there are so many people that find a rare part in their own neighborhood after a nationwide search that people should just draw a 3 mile radius from their house on a map and start going door to door...
