Sebring Convertible? Lincoln Continental? Has anyone ever brought an SVT Contour? I seem them selling for challenge money these days.

Yeah - solid V6 Manual cougar w/ bad engine - $500
3.0L Duratec V6 from Taurus or Escape - $500
= relatively lightweight car that will run 14's all day long for $1k

Yup $2006, Car #6 AngryP, later know a AngryCorvair
too old to fit the post 1970 criteria, but it would be awesome to build a T-bucket or simliar "Hot Rod"

He also had one in 2002, 03, and 04. The 04 car was the V8 middie that was fun to drive. It's been a while, so it's high time that a brake engineer be given a hard time for 4 wheel drums...

Incorrect.
SVXii have been to the Challenge 4 separate times. 3 by me (first time in 2004, when I set the 1/4 mile time for one).
SVX engines have been there more times than that (including this year).
Also, pretty sure an XT6 was there in 2005. I built an EG33 powered XT6 with intent of bringing it, but sold it before I got there.
Lotus.
I'd go a step further and bet that more Lotuses have been started but never finished for the Challenge than any other car.
I have 3 of them here. 1 has been owned by 2 Challenge teams, another by 3. Sadly, the common denominator on all 3 cars is me.
RX8 would have to be on the short list here soon.
VW GTi's?
Hyundai Tubruon
Mazda protege
B15 sentra
There must have been a Z31 Z car there by now, and as with some there probably was but just can't remember.

2002 car #29 '65 Monza coupe 140/4sp finished 26th out of 59
2003 car #? '66 Monza conv Crown 327/4sp barely finished - was slower and uglier than the 140 car
2004 car #6 same car as 2003 but with some clean-up and development, 16th out of 77. 13.89@104, 15th in concours, 18th in autocross with alfadriver at the wheel.
I will bring another Corvair someday

Wasn't sure. I was just throwing out suggestions
In reply to RealMiniParker:
Done as a 4wd adaptation to Mercury Tracer sedan ala 323GT parts. Very cool.
