Picked this up about three weeks ago. 2005 Acura RL, not used to big cars, but I like it so far. [/URL]

Awww, damn! We didn't get a chance to tell you to get a Miata.

I'm 6'3 and heavy. Plus I've already owned two answers and a string of other small cars, latest being an integra gsr. I want some comfort.

Interesting scenery from your driveway! Where are you located?

Parking lot of work. I'm in Colorado Springs.

I had forgotten about these. What sort of driving (hwy/city) do you do? What MPGs are you expecting?

Yes tell us. Curious about these seemingly unappreciated comfy gems.

Well then, let's fix that:

Sell it and get a Miata!

Currently getting 18.5 mpg with majority city. Worth it. Super quiet and comfy, and not too bad on the on ramps and clovers either. I am slightly worried about the reliability electronic gizmos.

I could understand that worry but it IS Honda, not BMW or Cadillac.

And that is what I try to tell myself.

The weird thing is the lack of diy support online due to the demographic of buyers. I tried to look for a few cures of little things and most threads ended with "take it to the dealer" even for simple stuff like bulb changes.

I just picked up a 2008RL and love it so far! It is very quiet, powerful enough and can be fun around corners once you know how to deal with SH-AWD. It isn't a sports car but is a great place to be for commuting.

18.5 mpg? Wow. My pickup got that.

I get better than that in my 'big' car...a WRX.

Really? With mostly city driving? Not saying you didn't, but it's considerably better than what my truck gets. CONSIDERABLY. What kind of truck was it?

To the OP - I love the Japanese big cars. Id pick a Lexus or Infiniti over an Acura, but that's just personal opinion. Nice score.

My Legend was one of the most unreliable cars I ever owned, and part prices were about on par with the German cars.

OK, so it was actually a touch under 18. Much higher than 17 though.
