Hi, everyone, love this site and the wealth of knowledge in the posts, you guys are great!! I've been searching local CL for an E30, possibly E36 and was intrigued by this 81 toyota sunchaser, http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/2468605825.html. I am a long time car guy, yeah, ok old, and I don't remember this model. Interesting, any feedback out there. I'm new here and am not associated with the posting, it just looks damn nice. Info?

Bad intro. It looks like you're setting up an account just to try to drive traffic to your advertisement. At the very least, it should have been in a different section of the forum.

[mumbles target=self] Heck, why do I bother? [/mumbles]

Maybe not. Might be a new guy (see the thread title) who wants some more info on a car he doesn't know much about. I'm inclined to think that when he says "I'm new here and am not associated with the posting" that he may be new and not associated with the posting.

Either way, even if it is the car owner driving people to his ad, at least the post was written by a human and not some sort of bot trying to sell us knock-off handbags.

My apologies everyone. I know it's never a good idea to link a promotion to a first post. I just found this so intriguing and I thought there may be some insight. Forget the link, I only used it as a reference. I had no idea this car existed. Sorry, if I offended. I will bow out.

Great site tho, I'll keep reading.

Well now that we know you aren't the car's seller, by all means please stay. Probably don't want a Sunchaser anyways.

My mom had an 83 celica with a sunchaser top. I believe that sunchaser was an aftermarket convertible top manufacturer. It was a beloved car in our household as a kid but I do remember it being quite the leaker.

We used to get one that came to my father's carwash back in the '80s. It was indeed an aftermarket conversion and did look pretty leaky. Kinda cool, though.

Welcome aboard, motomad1!

That looks like it needs some work, and to lose that set of hubcaps.

Welcome to the board Motomad1.

the sunchaser was neat.. sort of an aftermarket version of the Lancia Beta Zagato. I have seen one in the flesh that was fresh and neat.. but that is all I know about them
