New Sentra Nismo concept...

Well, even if we dont get the new 510s great grandkid, THE NISSAN IDx, maybe at least we can get a respectable SE-R again...

I like the concept, even if the front bumper looks staggeringly Lexus-esque. Hopefully, with the Frisbee Twins on the market, Honduhs newest boyracer Civic R on the prowl everywhere but merkuh, and the Cruze doing big things internationally on the racetrack, Nissan will get their asses in gear and offer the USDM market something worth getting excited over.

I rather like that. Nissan has been about as vanilla as vanilla can be for quite some time... This stands out.

Looks way better than the current Sentra. There's worse things to copy than Lexus; at least they're not likely to end up with anything visually offensive there.

Looks decent, but why does it seem the current Sentra/Altima/Maxima are all the same size to me?

It's better than any Sentra they have offered in a LONG time. I will give it that. And look, NO CVT!!!!

I'd like to see it with projector-style headlamps and no chrome please. Otherwise, it's a big step in the right direction.

I like it. Really like it. I would love to see the same drivetrain in a smaller package, but at least it looks decent and doesn't have the snooze factor or gargoyle-like styling of some recent Nissan offerings. All that said, I highly doubt the MSRP, when known, will tempt me to jump back into FWD "sports cars".

Surprisingly not bad. Like the inside a lot! I'm sure any thoughts of 2 doors is a pipe dream.

yeah, I think Sentra coupes are dodo birds...long extinct. Still looks like it could be fun. Plus, once again, Sentras could donate to engine swaps, not receive em.

Looks good with good HP and TQ. I like the Alcantara interior and real manual trans. The front and rear end treatments will probably be toned down for production some but are pretty darn nice without being over the top. I wonder what it weighs? That will be the final factor.

That motor in the Versa would go a long way to making it not suck so much.

Sacrilege, but after driving the Mazdaspeed3 and Cobalt SS Turbo I don't love 250-ish hp FWD cars. I think the power levels you get in a GTI or a Civic Si are the sweet spot. Caveat: this opinion might be different if I got to drive the cars in a scenario more like an open track and less like autoX.

Nissan is sorely lacking in this segment, i'm surprised it's taken this long for them to display such a car.

The only downside is that this thing hasnt been retail-ized yet.

That looks way better than anything they could do with the Versa. I wouldn't be averse to being proven wrong.

Way better? Not really that much different.

If its got a Torsen like my Spec V, I might have found my next car.

Oops - you're right, that was an Altima. This is the 2014 Sentra, which again isn't all that different shape-wise.

Quite the design budget savings when you can go from model to model with just the enlarge/shrink buttons on a photocopier.

It may not be "all that different shape-wise", but it is enough different to go from vanilla to zomfg in about 2.6 seconds, especially when you consider how lackluster anything Nissan has offered us in the compact world lately. Between the dropped stance, bigger wheels, bumper treatment, skirts, grille etc, Id argue it is way better, and a really big difference.

Yeah, i would consider it an impressive change.

I do not hate it......which is impressive praise from me.
