"....there is 10.5 ft of cargo SPACE with the passenger seat folded........"

I think he means 10.5 feet of cargo LENGTH with the passenger seat folded. My Acura Integra has a TRUNK with more than 10 (cubic) feet of cargo space and this truck looks big enough to swallow my car.

Do Sprinters have diesel 4 or 6 cylinder engines? I thought it was a big turbo 4. I do have to admit, that with the amount of torque available from either Cummins engine, these would be great tow vehicles.......HIGH mpg? Not so sure about that, except compared to a similar gas engine.

sprinter has a turbo 6 and does 27mpg or so..

I think they would be stupid to spec the vehicle with less than 30mpg.. but what do I know.

That low of a rear floor means IRS. Is Nissan using IRS in their big trucks?

early US market sprinters, like the one I drive every day have a turbo I5, current models have a Bluetec turbo V6. Mine is registered at 8500lbs, and with all of my gear and supplies it actuly weighs very close to that and still gets 22mpg or better. The fedex guys say that they get 27mpg or better, but I think that they carry less weight and spend less time in the interstate.

Not nessarily, sprinters have a fairly low floor and solid rear axels. This truck should do nissan some good, but I don't see to many sprinter users jumping ship for it.

This is very cool. It's proportions make me think PT Cruiser size, but its specs (as long as an extended Econoline) make it sound huge.

Edit: It almost looks like it could fit a full-size pallet, too. This is a very cool vehicle... Hopefully it won't be too expensive.

Color me unimpressed. A conventional van is a model of functionality. That one gives up a bunch of volume to the engine compartment, and that cutsey fold-out wall makes that pretty unusable for storage. I don't see anything that a minivan wouldn't do better.

And you guys rag on Ridgelines!

Since this is a concept, we'll have to see what happens with the real one.. But i think this is a step in the right direction.
