That car really does have the desperate dealer dressup package (TM). Bullitt wheels and the stripes from a V6 Pony Edition.

Mustangs make passable family cars... at least the '86 LX that my mom got in '88 or so did. 4 cylinder/4 speed/14" wheels with the molded on foam.. dark blue inside and out... our family consisted of my mom, the 14 year old version of me, and my 8 and 6 year old brothers at the time. there were more than a few occasions when all of us and my mom's boyfriend would pile into that thing and drive an hour or more one way to go somewhere..
it was also the first stick shift car i drove when i was 15, about a week before i got my learners permit. mom didn't feel like driving home from the mall an hour away from home, so i got to drive it.. that car also saw a bit of abuse at the hands of the newly licensed 16 year old version of me, but never died.
fun fact: 9 teenagers will fit in a Fox body hatchback Mustang if you do it right.
Nice lookin' Stang there Mrs. T n good choice.

So what's the opinion on tires?? I was out at Carolina Motorsports Park this weekend and managed to get it out on the track during the lunch break. THAT was an absolute blast but tires are needing to be done sooner rather than later.
What do you want out of them? Daily tires that won't disintegrate on track? Great track tires that can get you around town? What size tires are on the car?
Less than 3 days from presumed purchase to track time? We can all only wish to have a wife as cool as toymans.
245/45/r17 I'd love the best of both worlds. Yes, it's my daily driver but I will autocross it for sure. I'd LOVE to put it on the track but not sure how realistic that is going to be.
