I've always thought aircooled Bugs look better with nerf bars than bumpers though.
regular bugs.. the superbeetles with the flatter front, curved under nose, and lower vented panel look better with bumpers

I like the hawkeye the most as well, but I own a blobeye Major reason was the center diff, minor reason the price difference when I bought it in 2009. The 2004-2005 diff is 35/65 split and can be set to open (no lockup when spin happens), the 2006 and later are 41/59 and always have some preload (preload is arguably better but I wanted the more rear-biased split). The hawkeye is also allegedly better aerodynamically.
Chrome is nasty, even if it's a Pony emblem. Orange marker lights are an eyesore, too.
