Well, maybe not....

Advance Auto (at least the ones in the Cincinnati area) are offering a 5qt jug of peak full synthetic and a filter for $24...stupid cheap. I bought two. No coupon or anything needed, its just on a tag on the shelf.

I'll piggyback on this.

Autozone is selling 3 gallon cases of Delo 400 15w-40 oil for $39 after discount.

I ended up changing my oil for $20.20. Bought two cases. (Filter was $3.95 Corvette ZR1 FTW!)

Thanks. Usually they do $30 for Castrol Full Synthetic and a filter. The Ranger will need an oil change when I'm done with the berkeleying transmission.

$26 for 5qt of G-oil 5w30. Got a master pack of Wix PF61 filters from Napa. So, I am at about $30 for one and $36 for the other vehicle on oil changes.

I always got with Rotella T5 or T6 from wal-mart. Great oil, and T6 synthetic there is usually cheaper than dino oil at the auto parts store.

i dunno about cheaper, but it's cheap. we get 19.99 a gallon for the 5w-40 T6 when it's onsale around here.

They always advertise their oil rebates all over the stores here and have the rebate certificates displayed prominently on the shelves.

Fine print says "Rebate not valid in Connecticut"...

$25 for 5qt mobil1+mobil 1 or k&n filter sometimes here.
I used to indulge in this but I just buy from the parts guys at work because they make a little scratch off of it. Almost everything big they get me now is at parts employee cost, so I like to help them out even if it costs a little more (I think around $5 or $6 per qt of mobil 1) I buy 4 qts and then usually have an odd half quart leftover from a UCI or something to add in.
