I dunno, looks like the pontoons might flip over quite easily, and in the down position might hang pretty near the ground (if the truck is not in the water at all).
All I know is that thing is sweet.
Even a small John boat (which is less than 25% of the weight of that thing) would be hard to flip upside down to a position 6' off the ground.
Where does the motor go when a camper? Pretty much takes up all the floor space.
To me, it is pretty non-sensical, and falls deeply into the catagory of "we did it because we could".
Waay too much of a compromise on all counts.
It would be like trying to make an amphibious car autocross well.
(Yeah, I know. Some of you are already searching EBay for amphibious cars)

I missed that.
That makes me question the strength of the entire hinge arrangement, or pivot, or whatever is holding the pontoons on.
