Kinda been bouncing around the idea of a second Cheap Bastards meet in the Toledo area. Had a great time meeting those who showed up for the Snook's trip, despite the crappy weather.

A couple upcoming events in the area may be of enough interest to warrant another get-together, and I can make a couple phone-calls to ensure better weather this time around.

The first event is "British Return to Ft. Meigs" car show on Sunday, June 6th. They draw a really nice mix of cool Brit stuff, and it's a really nice setting.

Or, the next Sunday is a NWOR-SCCA autocross at Toledo Express Airport. For those who haven't been there, it's a really ccol slab. Fifty acres of really nice, grippy concrete.

Let me know if there's any interest...

I'm leaning towards the car show on the 6th. I go pretty much every year, anyway, so if anyone wants to meet up there, that'd be cool.

Unfortunately, I won't have time to get either Miata into auto-x shape by the 13th, so that's kinda out for me. I hate going to events without a car...

The Brit event is a cool, laid back event that I have attended in may years past.

JUNE 6th - Perrysburg, OH. - The British Return to Fort Meigs - The Lake Erie British Car Club will be hosting their 12th Annual "The British Return to Fort Meigs" British Car and Bike Show at the Fort Meigs Historical Site, Route 65, Perrysburg, Ohio. The show runs from 10 am to 3 pm. After viewing and voting on your favorite British vehicles, you will have opportunities to tour the restored fort from the War of 1812, try a challenging British car quiz, shop at one of the vendors or sample some tasty food from one of the food vendors. Voting by popular vote. Dash plaques to the first 200 registered, goody bags, and lots of door prizes. Pre-registration is $12.00; day of show is $15.00. Event shirts will again be available. So mark your calendars now. Hope to see you there. Contact: Tony Shoviak. Phone: 419-878-2041. Email: Tenntony@att.net. Website: http://lakeeriebritishnews.home.att.net.

I kinda like the "Reich Burner" one. But if you really want to get people's attention, you could show up in a black tutu riding a sheepdog.

Yeah, that won't work. This is Ohio, and we have standards, you know.
