friend of mine is dropping his mobile soda blaster off for me to rewire. its all corroded, terminals, switches, all of it. its only a couple of years old as well.

what im thinking is that the alkylinity (SP) of the soda media is reacting with the copper. this eating it up.

what kind of wire should i use? ive been looking into saltwater boat stuff, as its tinned with some really heavy duty insulation. also planning on covering all connections with heat shrink tubing with the adhesive to limit the contamination there, and covering the rear of all switches with a healty smathering of silicone/caulk/RTV that is saltwater rated.

or should i be looking at something completely different?

im used to woring cars and EFI, just not something like this.

i guess this is what i get for being the only guy in our group that can wire stuff.

don't know about what wire to use... but they sell liquid electrical tape in a spray can... would seal things out pretty nice me thinks.
