OK fellas, the time has come to replace the OEM struts on my Lexus ls430... And of course as most parts go with this vehicle I have three choices oem, eBay E36 M3, or kyb excel-g.
To make this post short and sweet I ordered the kyb excel-g's what kind of life can I expect from them? I assume they should be relatively close to OEM seeing as how the OEM manufacturer is kyb...
Did I screw up by saving the $400 and not getting the OEM?
Thanks fellas!
Well then. I guess I'll have to find out all by myself

Well, TBH you kind of answered your own question. In KYB world, the excel-g line is basically an OEM replacement shock, and you said your Lexus is OEM equipped with KYB shocks.. So, really no need to respond.

I have the KYB GR-2's on my Buick. It's been over 10 years an they still work. Basically an OEM replacement.
You saved $400. You did not screw up.

That sounds hopeful! I've read mixed reviews on them but I'm hoping they are just picky ass Lexus drivers complaining. 115,000 miles on my OEM I'm hoping for at least 40-50k on the excel-g's!
Yeah, let us know how they work out. I have 2 LS400's and it looks like Koni doesn't make shocks for them.
