oh god no, expensive wreck!!! Looks like he went off in the Corkscrew...
Yipes. And I thought I made expensive mistakes.
However, that first picture looks like a production still from Dukes Of Hazzard in an alternate reality.

Maybe Rosco and Cletus are giving chase in a birdcage Maser.

I was thinking of a different, less family friendly word that I would use if I were in the same situation, but that'll work too.

'Honey! Get the buffer out!'
He better be glad the tires were there for him to hit instead of that concrete wall.

Somebody mentioned it in the Autoblog post, but I had to repost it here.
Anyone think he should grab that front fender, pull it from the tire and leave it like that for a while? (Provided the front suspension wasn't damaged).
Battle scars for FTMW!

You probably can't do more than $250k worth of damage to a Testa Rossa, really. It's the invisible aura that makes them worth so much money.
At least it was damaged on the track. That's where a TR250 is meant to be. I hope he drives it home.
The owner of that car has owned it, and raced it, since 1964. He bought it after it had been tossed in a tree by a previous racer. In 45 years of ownership, it's seen 250 races. Oh, and the owner also maintains and repairs the car himself. he's probably got VASTLY less money into the car, including purchase price, than the car is worth even in banged up condition...
So good to see a car doing what it's supposed to be doing rather than sitting in a museum.
Yeah, the dude's got a bigger bulge in his pants than me. I dunno if it's his wallet in the back or his cojones in front. Respect.

That is really cool. Kudos to him for keeping the car and enjoying it rather than selling it for a quick buck.
In reality, most of these old race cars have been banged up and restored to the point where very little of them are original anyway, so if they have to redo some bodywork due to a race incident... "eh... that's why it was built... "
Most of these guys are operating on a budget level we mere mortals-of-wallet have trouble comprehending...
That is cool, I guess that guy is grassroots ferrari style. I have to admit, in my haste I thought the thread was going to be about a Triumph TR250...I was thinking rally-x.
Guess I need to work on my reading comprehension skills.
