dunno if this has been called out, but bring someone who has done it before. Tools aren't very useful if you don't know how to use em.
It's amazing what you can pull out if you work it right, and also amazing how easy it is to get wrong.
Here's an example:
You have a stuck truck and a rope and a pulley, and a good solid recovery point. If you attach the pulley to the recovery point and tie the rope to the vehicle, then pulling the rope is a 1:1 distance with the truck moving (ie no advantage). However, if you attach the rope to the recovery point and the pulley to the truck, then suddenly you pull the rope 2:1 for the movement of the truck and you DOUBLE your force on the truck. That can make a big difference!
