The headlights on my CRX keep getting condensation and I think I want to just replace them versus try and reseal them. The PO tried and they look like poo.

I do like bright headlights and these currently are about the best Ive ever daily driven. I also dont wanna look Ricer yo!
Typically, those projector housings have really horrible optics and don't last. The composite beams would be what I go for, but I'd make sure they were glass before spending that much on them.
The current ones are glass. I may try my hand at resealing them, the glass is clear and not pitted. The resealing looks like E36 M3.
I've never had good luck resealing housings myself. They might stay sealed for a while, but they always seem to leak again. I'm pretty sure that's an issue with my technique and not the lights, though.

The best/cheapest option, but it may not be possible on your CRX, is to retrofit the bits from a junkyard CRX to fit sealed-beam headlights, then order sealed-beam replacement e-codes from a good vendor.

My CRX suffers from the same fate, but mine has had obvious collision repair, so they might be replacements.
While I might be looking for a better donor to transfer my springy bits to, I am still interested in fixing the condensation. So...
Thanks to my laziness, cheapness and poorness, I have decided to just troll craigslist for CRX part-outs (which pop up surprisingly often in my area) and try to get lucky with an insane low-ball offer for clean headlights, or an even more insulting offer on already-screwed units. Thanks to market saturation here for non-Si specific parts it's practically a clearing house.
When I experiment on the backup pair I will post results on my car's updates.
Hello CRX fanatics. I was an 86 Civic CRX as well with working sun roof 1.5l engine and manual tranny. got it for 300 bucks. I tried to fix the headlight weeks from now but couldn't solved the issue.I took it back to the dealer who replaced it with new one. I'm thinking what do do. Now 36.5 months and 39,000 miles later, the headlight is out again (I think it's the other one, but am not certain). I'm thinking "faulty headlight" or electrical problem? Anyone else with this problem? I want the dealer to replace this one without charge since I think it should not happen so soon. Any ideas/suggestions? I already ask some auto mechanics but seemed not a natural issue for them.
