In my experience it's been pretty good American food. They keep paper towels at all of the tables, that should give you an idea on how messy some of the food is.
We go to Mikes occasionally. Huge menu, big portions, great food, lots of beer, and you can eat in an old bus to boot! I'm not sure it's a central location for everyone, but it's only 5 minutes from my house, so afterwards we can leave and pick it back up at my place (or in my shop might suit everyone better!).

their wings are awesome. we used to have our camaro club meetings there. they do have an old bus added on as part of the restaurant.
next friday bad for me, i'll be working on food and cleaning my garage for our christmas party. inevitably a small crowd winds up in the garage to see what i'm working on now, and the place is a horrible mess.
Ok, caught up on 14 pages of thread and I think the last 5 pages are about burgers and beer. Not bad.
Is during the week better for people? It's a couple hours for me and Aussie is further than I am.

I live about a mile down the road from Summit Racing. It's actually probably about 5-10 minutes to Mikes from my place, but close nonetheless.

Yep. Trying to set a time that works for everyone is ooompossible. Foe example, I can meet-up pretty much any day of the week... As long as we begin the festivities about 4am. Anything else is kind of a crap-shoot.
Add in things like the Holidays, or moving here from several states away and settling in, and it gets even tougher.

bah i've got my own business and a year and a half old kid. i've barely made it to anything within 15 minutes of the house in the last 2 years. i had great intentions to get back into racing and bought a new helmet this spring, and i made it to autocross zero times and to test and tune night once for an hour.
if it's dry and not freezing maybe i'll drive something cool.
