I found s pretty good deal on an rb20det last night. I might hope on that after my trip to Vegas.

I'm not really into going for a diesel swap on this since I already have my modded 240d (thanks bgkast)

Slippery wrote: 300hp? Lots of torque and a proper 80's motor? I vote 3SG-TE. Once you get tired of 300hp just up the boost and keep going until you need a new turbo and repeat. A Greddy T67 kit will provide plenty of smiles. If you are interested in a 3SGTE, I have a semi built one from my All-Trac that I'd be willing to part with cheap. Complete with GrpA ECU and IC.

That hasn't been done before Email me mahalregina@yahoo.com.

Well, they're related in much the same way that an FD engine is related to the one in a '74 RX-4. Or an RB26DETT is related to an RB20DE.

Same architecture, but everything's different.

Maybe something Italian with two turbos, known for going 185? That will keep you busy and and not bored.
And that is?

You sadden me. Maserati Biturbo is what he is referencing.

Still, you should consider a Jag V12.

Oh E36 M3 haha. My buddy has a few of those cars rotting (In a California way) in his yard. Can't get them to pass smog. He daily drives a '89 Maserati 228.

Very cool cars, much like starion/conquest you never find them running well enough to know how cool they really are.

Is there a viable 5spd manual option for the jag v12?

Another option you could go is a M50 or M52 engine and supercharge or turbocharge it later for 270+hp. For a future project with more money, the 5th gen Camaro V6 engine could work, too.

If you're really up for different, Infiniti 4.5L out of Q45 of '93-'95. Manual trans of 300z adapter kit.

300 hp

A pretty popular swap with the 240sx crowd.

Ha that was my first engine of choice a few years ago but that damn intake manifold might require me cutting my hood.

Okay I'm pursuing a really good steal of a deal on an RB25det right now. Wish me luck!

That is much better than the RB20 when I read rb20det I was about to post prepare for the lag, lol.

if this doesn't go through consider a SR20DET, all aluminum engine will save a ton of weight and the support for it is heavy.

It seems around here that the SR20det and the RB25det are about the same price, with the RB being a bit cheaper.
