Geo metro? Or Toyota?
My Daughter saw this in RI yesterday.
Thinking more about it if it had a "cap" over the rear it would be a really useful vehicle. Then add a mini ladder rack. .. . Ok over thinking this arn't I
I was looking at a close-up of the photo and it looks to be reasonably well executed. Not that usual hack jobs you see.
I've been rather impressed with many pickup conversions. I was impressed recently by a Prius. He wanted a truck with the mileage of a Prius and he got it. More power to em.

So you mean like a regular Geo Metro?

yEAH... I remember that. Sitting in one with a Corbeau fixed back (about 3" lower seating position than stock)and looking up at this massive SUV passing me. When it pulled in front I looked to see what big monster just went past me.... it said "Pontiac Vibe".
I quite like that. Maybe when im able to finally do a challenge car a cheapohatch pickemup conversion will be in order
Well damn. Does this fall under the all factory body panels shall be in place rule? Or is that just for fenders doors and hoods?

Truck or "amino" conversions will never be frowned upon at the challenge.
Theres a festiva truck near my house. It has one of those diamond plated toolbox things taking up half the "bed"

I've seen this done on a Metro.
It looked like it was done by that Korean Landlord Shed Guy.
In accordance with the laws of automotive bad ideas, the whole thing was painted flat black to hide the gross (very gross) bodywork deficiencies. Or maybe he shot it with gloss black but it orange peeled pretty heavily. It can go either way.
Ya the spoilers (both of them) would need to go if it was mine but this would be a cool little run about vehicle. Junkyard runs, home depot etc.

In reply to dean1484:
It's a Metro/Swift/Sprint/Firefly (depending on which side of the Canadian border you're on).

I'm with you. When 2nd gen scions xbs get cheap I'd like to make one into a trucklet. I just need to get some money, a welder, a garage built, the skill to do it........ But seriously I want one
