I'm looking for an indy in Oklahoma City who speaks Subaru. This is for a young lady just out of college who doesn't have a ton of cash, so, not a performance shop, unless they also work on appliance cars, too.

(Coulda sworn I asked this some years ago, but I can't find it now. Asking again cuz she is apparently ready to take my go-to-an-indy advice, vs. previously ignoring it and going to a dealer to give them all her money...)

Find a food place near the dealership and have her go there at lunch time.  Ask anyone of that generation who does work on the side.  Usually several of the younger guys are on the low end of the pay scale and have a garage at home.

Misfire Motorsports works on normal stuff as well, but they have the same hourly rate as dealers $175/hr.

The other indy shop, not Subaru focused but I'd trust them to work on my stuff, I would call Metric Motors in Edmond just off Broadway. https://metricmotors.com/

Unfortunately, both Subaru dealers in OKC are sparse for food options close by. Bob Moore has none, and the one out south I'm not sure.

There is a new Subaru dealer in Norman, but that's a bit of trek to the south of the OKC area.
