So, small bits of flesh originate from her tail lamps?

This whole thing reminds me of Snatch:

[Tyrone just backed into Franky Four Fingers' van]

Tyrone: I didn't see it there.

Vinny: It's a four ton truck, Tyrone. Its not as if it's a bag of berkeleying peanuts, is it?

Tyrone: It was a funny angle.

[All three turn and look back at the truck]

Vinny: It's behind you Tyrone. Whenever you reverse, things come from behind you.

From IMDB memorable quotes.

Yeah first of all, how do you hit a giant truck with a trailer all the way across the street with nothing in the way to block your vision?

Second, why would you fix that? Take the money and run.

I can't answer your 1st question. But it bugs me. If I wanted it dented up, I'd hit some trees with it.

I want to see the damage to her car...

There wasn't that much. A busted tail lamp, bent 1/4, and some bumper damage. Nothing tragic. Judging by the rest of the car, she'll probably just put some red tape on the tail lamp & ride it.

If you're upset by a dent in your ZAV, you've got the wrong rig.

You need to keep your ZAV in the best condition possible until the ZA actually happens. That way you can take more damage when it counts.

In my opinion, if you're ZAV doens't have any dents it isn't a ZAV.

Mine has dents from a zombie tree that jumped up and attacked it.

Rust free Chevies are a dime a dozen in Peach country. Take the wife to dinner, buy some garage time, work on your project.

(You'll notice I didn't say POS not worth fixing, that would be impolite)

BTW, my brother's mustang got hit by a drunk 19 year old on a quiet suburbia street. Whacked it so hard it was flipped onto my parents' lawn upside down. The perp kicked beer cans under bushes so the sops wouldn't find them.

He had a heck of a time collecting! Sure the kid was drunk, OK the legal age is 21 in NYS, but my brother was facing the wrong way on this quiet dead end street.

Pinheads I tell ya!

It's far from a door ding. The left door needs to be replaced. If the insurance gives me a check for the damage. I'll buy a used door and hopefully have enough $$ left to do a camo paint job on the whole truck.

& its ok for me to break my toy. It's no ok for someone else to do so.

Well, after meeting with the adjuster & talking to the claims rep at her insurance company, I should be getting a check for enough to replace the door & the step. I should have enough left over for a DIY paint job. I'm thinking camo.

+1, ZAVs are supposed to be hard to damage and cheap to fix! Hammer it out and brush paint over it!

Hammering it out and putting the money in your pocket. You could use the money for better nerf bars, those steps are obviously not up to zombie attack duty.
