I got the bug to the body shop today. I fixed the door, replaced the rear fenders with older ones with smaller tail lights and shaved the front turn signal lights from the front fenders.
The body shop is going to paint it pretty much the same as it was.
I did have an interesting moment towing the bug to the shop. The left rear tire passed me.
My son has been working with me on the bug for a long time. I normally double-check everything he touches, but lately everything he did was great. So I trusted him on this one. It’s going to be awhile before I trust his work again.
