A killer sleeper that would dust a Veyron. Pretty kick(butt).

Maybe, but the Veyron does what it does in perfect composure, not shaking around like it's about to fall apart.

A cool feat, I would love to be able to try something like that one day, but I wonder at its reliability, that would impress me.

Boostlogic builds some incredible machines and the owner of that car has a car collection to die for! Including a gorgeous twin turbo Gallaro, definitely NOT grassroots!

243 is still fast nomatter how rough it looked.

And at 1:18 you can spot wal*mart bottled water

Yea, composure or not, 243 is a big, big number for any street car. Especially one at probably a tenth of what the (worse looking, less practical, more expensive to insure) Bugatti would cost. Sounds pretty much like the point of the grassroots theme to me...

And imagine the repair bill if that Lamborghini got rear ended

Im pretty sure that car did 0-243 in 1 mile. No stock street car is even worth mention in comparison.

What did he reach up and move forward at the ceiling of the car near the end of the run? Was he deploying the parachute?

As for the shakiness, I would attribute perhaps a lot of that to a less than ideal camera mount.

That was from the crap camera mount more than the car.

It is the chute but unless he repacked it before making the pit entry it did not deploy.

Remember that the run was on an old airport runway. They aren't that smooth, just watch the Indy car race from Edmonton as an example. I'd bet that the run would look "shakey" if the camera were mounted in a Veyron on that runway, too.

There's a red Supra on twins making 1700+whp that i think will be going after this record soon. Videos all over Streetfire of the dyno, and it's just unholy.

I've run the Texas Mile and smooth is not a word you'd apply to any aspect of the runway.

I just got thru watching Tanner Foust run multiple cars on the Texas Mile and he didn't get over about 207. The hot car of the day only got a 231. 246 in ONE mile from a standing start is absolutely terrifying.

Very impressive!

I'm not sure I'd refer to it as a sleeper though, given the parachute on the back hinting at what it's capable of. Now had it been a Ford Festiva...

Sleepers don't have 2' wide rear tires either, that's sort of a giveaway.

He's not even really "in it" until the top of third gear either, and with the gearing that thing must have to hit 250 that's pretty impressive.
