I think I may have found one where box flares don't work. Saw this at Home Depot today.
OMG Self serving Flared Goodness (at least mockups of flared goodness).
Posterboard and masking tape are legit construction medium..

I saw a vehicle the other day that looked pretty bad ass. Mostly due to it's box flares. It was a 2 door Isuzu Amigo, like this -
but it was lowered 4-6" and sitting on 15 x 10 Nascar style black steelies with some big old meats on them - probably a 275/60/15 or something. The thing looked menacing.

Since the car is really not competitive in the class any longer (and never would be with me driving) and I prefer track days to autocross, I'm planning on upgrading a few things (starting with some XR2 brakes... and if i could find a nice inexpensive XR2 big valve head....)
That car is so cool! I got some pictures of it out autocrossing when I painted Mike and Carrie's CRX for the GRM challenge. I have to go see if I can find them...

We need more info than some hotlinked photos; much, much more.
Please?
Nocones Build log on Locostusa.com
9 page build log on Locostusa documenting the process so far. It's still got a ways to go, but someday.. .
I also have it in Readers rides, and a BUNCH of extra pictures are on my photobucket page accesable via Locostusa, or My GRM garage posting.
If you have any other questions other than what's posted on Locostusa let me know.. I share well with others.
I love that Midget. I have a feeling my Midget may end up with some wide flares along those lines. I am not sure if I want to narrow a rear end to fit.
Found this set of flares out behind the local Beemer dealership that hosts the Dallas Cars and Coffee.
After seeing DukeofUndersteer's 128, I googled "box flares" and guess what was first on the list. This thread.

Just read through your entire build thread. I'm very impressed, and kind of inspired. I've always wanted to do something like that when I graduate and have a slightly more positive cash flow.
