This car may not be news to many, but i just happened upon it on autoblog. Apparently it was just up on ebay for $34k
Box flares just RULE.
If I am remembering this car correctly, this is an IRS conversion out of a T-Bird. MM&FF did a comparison on fun factor with this car and a Blue Angel pilot in an F-18. Very nice working prototype. I believe it had a 351 going to a 6 speed. Car would do 1.0+ g's on the skid pad.
Awesomeness!!!

More 4 cylinder awesomeness
I know one of the engineers that built the Roush engines for the Trans Am series, including the XR4Ti turbo 4.
He told me some stories about qualifying trim horsepower numbers that made my mind esplode.
How about this Miata 911 Sport Classic Roadster: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/cto/1999584646.html
It can be yours for measly $9,200..I don't think the ad said which model year this Miata was...

That looks like one of Roush Racing's V8 Mustangs.
But the earlier Zakspeed cars were definitely full of four cylinder turbo goodness:

This thread needs a good picture of Condor Racing's BMW at the Challenge.

This same car was just at Autobahn CC this weekend. I am a corner worker there so I got to see it in action up close.
So many great examples in this thread I had to do a set on the swift ice racer, not the biggest or craziest but still an improvement I think.

The new paint scheme on my dime. Still can't decide if I should change the color of the blue stripe on the side. What do you guys think?
I saved it but just barely.
In reply to nickel_dime:
Nice!
You need a high res zoom in shot of that and go looking for some sponsors.
A good one would be Depends.
I vote for you filling in that space with white.

I was kind of thinking about red with white pinstripe around it but white not a bad idea either.
