One week....

... and I damn near can't take it! Nats in a week. Who else is in "vacation mode" already while sitting at work?

I am and I don't even have a vacation planned.

Tomorrow I work, tie up loose ends. Wednesday I turn in my badge (means I can't turn on a computer) go to lunch with my boss Jeanne and my wife, then go home.

Never to return.

I was 15 of 24 last year. If I'm 14 of 24 this year, I will consider it a "success". If I'm not... well it's still a success because I wasn't at work!

I'm about ready to go, just have to do a couple more things by Friday, then off I go on Saturday. I agree Bobzilla, just being away from work is a success.

I'm down to nut&bolt the suspension to make sure everything is tight and wash and a coat of wax to make the bugs from the drive come off easier when I get there.

I'm packing Sunday, then leaving EARLY Monday morning. I'm hoping to be there by noon Lincoln time. I hear we're paddock'd in row 14 if anyone wants to stop by and share a beer.

Thanks. I'll need it. Got a nice warmup event this weekend. 178 person local event.... Got some good practice in with some great drivers and learned a ton about the new tires. Gotta reset the ol' noggin and just trust the car.
