- Caterham has unveiled the new, limited edition Seven SuperSprint at this weekend’s Goodwood Revival as part of its 60th-anniversary celebrations.
Reflecting the anniversary, 60 SuperSprints destined for the UK and European markets go on sale today, completing the pair of special models that have topped and tailed the anniversary year. The similarly retro Seven Sprint was launched at the same event 12 months ago, with all 60 cars sold within a week, quickly becoming the fastest selling Caterham Seven to date.
Offering the ultimate in gentleman racer style, alongside the hearty power of its 95bhp Caterham Works Racing-tuned, three cylinder engine, the Seven SuperSprint is as at home on the road as it is on the circuit.
Seven hours is all it took for 60 Caterham Seven Supersprints to sell out. Remember that's not even on general release earlier, but simply a debut at the Goodwood last weekend.

are those tr6 wheels? because I love them.
Love everything about this. I'll take mine in navy.
I may be turning into James May.... :) those low horsepower versions are starting to be more attractive to me than the top of the line models. They're more in the spirit of the originals.

They look more like a steel wheel from a Honda or Mazda that you usually find painted black with winter rubber mounted to.

The only thing wrong with them is that they are only making 60 of them.
At thirty thousand pounds, I dont' think "locost" is the right descriptor, but it is inspiration.
I've actually been tinkering with mine. I decided that it just wasn't going to wire itself, despite my giving it 10 years to try, so I've started pulling apart the MR2 wiring harness and tossing out wires that aren't needed to run a Seven.

I meant inspiration for a Locost, not that it was low cost itself ;)

Well sure, all steel wheels look similar. I really think when you take off the trim rings and center caps you have an exact match.
