I have a 74 Opel manta that I am building. I want to build the thing for rally. I am trying to figure out what to do with the suspension. The suspension looks like it could be easy to do something custom for it. Does anyone know of a good set up that people have used on mantas? Or does anyone know a good place to look into strut/shock info, like specs and measurements?

What kind of setup is on it now?

Nothing, it used to have some old monroes on it. Now it is all torn down getting worked on. It does not have anything special on it, shocks or springs.

I dunno much about Mantas. Is that coil spring or the transverse leaf like the GT's?

Coil springs all around, the coils are independant from the springs both front and rear. Both front and rear mount with the typical ring with a bushing on the bottom and the piston is just threaded on top.

you know they rallied the Kadett professionally. You might be able to look up the specs on that car.

My Father had a 68 Kadett Rally, the homogulation special, he imported it from spain when the navy moved him from Rota to lakehurst. I will see if he has any info on that car still.
