Those are actually my high school's colors. I think that if you got rid of the white seat belts and door handles, and changed the center console from red to gray, it would tone the whole thing down a bit. The thing about Porsche is that they will build whatever you want, regardless of whether or not you have good taste.

Porsche and Bentley pushing the bounties of good taste for 100 years.

Yeah I think its about 10-12K under what it should go for. If it was just a sinple what and blck spec car with all the extras it would be mid 80's.
It's growing on me slowly. Maybe if the centers were black leather instead of grey suede...

I like it but I'm a little weird. That being said I wouldn't kick ANY 911tt out of bed!
The all red version rocks, but I can live with the two tone.
The interior is not my concern as much as the tiptronic. I kinda like the all red shop, it wouldn't be my first or even my 4th or 5th choice for an interior color, but I could live with it.

I would love the all red interior on a white car. Do it!
Paint the exterior of the car red or maybe even black and it might work. Don't like it one bit with a white car.
In reply to Datsun1500:
"It's the 2 tone. Here is a very, very, quick and lousy photoshop job. Looks much better"
Actually that combo makes it look much worse IMHO.
If you're really worried about reselling it, look at the percentage of new buyers that order a red interior from Porsche if you can. If Porsche salesmen and saleswomen say it's rare, don't do it. I don't like red interiors that much, especially all red interiors like some C4 Corvettes have. Red is best as an accent, like the interior that HappyAndy showed. Even that is too much red. I also think that it's interesting that some magazines mention that some interiors are so boring because they're all black, yet no one likes red.
Love the car, but would love it more if it had a tan to saddle brown interior. I want to feel like I'm sitting in a baseball glove.
In reply to Mitchell:
Yesssss. Best spring car seat analogy ever.
I love the interior, but I HATE that it's a tiptronic. I loathe that transmission. As amazing as PDK is, the tip is utter garbage.
In the E46 M3 community, red interiors command a premium. Of course, the red is a bit more subtle and restrained. I will echo what others have said in that I could live with the interior, but not the transmission. I would also worry that the white seat belts would get all grimy from "hand salsa" like the keyboards of old.
I am with Woody on this, though for me the Tip would be a deal breaker.
Well there you go. That is, if you are happy with the Tiptronic. That would be my biggest worry. However, while I have never driven a Tiptronic car, I would imagine that is as good as an auto gets.

When did Porsche switch the PDK?
Granted it's much older, but here is my red Porsche interior. I love the color, and love red interiors in general.

2010 is the PDK switch. Its a good 20K premium to get one from that era, as it would be a 997.2 turbo, which is not the end of the world but you don't get the good motor.
My wife has talked me out of this one, she has pointed out how many cars I have dumped quickly in the past and they are all automatics of some ilk. I think she would be OK with waiting a bit to find a manual as she an drive the turbos with the hydroylic clutch with the boost that they have.
2009 seems to be the best year to get, good motor, PCM 3, and still semi affordable.

Yeah, the Mezger is the "good motor", but the later 9A1 based Turbo is faster and more powerful. DFI is a wonderful thing!

That's spectacular! What year is that?
I like the DFI motor but the early cars are so easy to tune and thats what makes them valuable in the long run.
I got out of the office today and drove a tiptronic turbo, great, great car.
But not as much fun as even a base 911 in a manual. The thing hooks up though and you put your foot down and your doing 100+ without and drama which is not really fun in my book.
Thanks! It's a 1996 993. Polar Silver over Flamenco Red. The interior is not quite that bright in person. The flash on the camera exaggerates it. I bought it late last year and am still sorting things out. Since this picture I replaced the original suspension with Bilstein HDs and H&R springs. Took out the ridiculous US ride height. And I put new stone guards on, which made a huge visual difference.
