Waiting for admission to the Facebook group and expecting Hella great things.

One of my favorite "misdirecting the competition" stories was at a stage rally. At a regroup control before night stages were to begin. "Oh no, we forgot to put our driving lights on at last service!"
Other drivers take it easy, thinking they would be slow with no extra lighting. The misdirectors, however, had 5" aircraft lights as high beams in their 510.
Worked great until they shattered at a water crossing, too
Also. MRTE just stuck six driving light pods on the Group B RX-7.

I think this is what the group is about, but I was declined membership so I may never know. Who knew that a group dedicated to rows of driving lights would require such onerous limits to entry?

We'll make our own Facebook group! With box flares! And Hooker headers! In fact, forget about Facebook.

I belong to that group. It's just folks posting pictures of cars with lights, whether they are their own or a car they saw on line. All quite harmless.

Seriously. I need to figure out how to mount some Hella 500s to the front of the GR this winter, I have an idea. The seller gave me some old rectangular Cibie's I saw in a pile in the corner, but haven't tested them.
It's a really old picture, but I've got this setup on the front of the Jeep. 2x Hella 4000 Euro beam (100W bulbs), 2x IPF 968 driving lights (100W bulbs and angled slightly outward). Plus the headlights are Euro spec with 80/100W H4 bulbs. And then IPF 840 yellow fogs (85W bulbs).
The high beams are downright spectacular with that setup, although the "stealth" setup in the BMW (9011 HIR high beams plus bi-xenon projectors) is still quite good. I do miss the fog lights in heavy snow though (the Jeep doesn't leave the garage much these days). The BMW factory fogs are 1 step above worthless while the IPF fogs on the Jeep were great when the snowfall got really heavy. Drop to parking lights + fogs and you could still see about as far as the low beams but with no glare (and in yellow).

Exactly. Post those pics here.
Editing a video from IMSA testing at Daytona last weekend and found this shot. Yup they even work on a Taylor-Dunn.
You'll need to log in to post.
