Folks,
Seems like a few years ago several folks that were active participants and fans of the PA hillclimb eventss were active on this forum.
Any news from that part of the Motorsports scene?

I've run a few PHA events in the past 3 years. Great people, and great fun.
Like those above mentioned racepa, and pahillclimb.net have good info on events.
I raced in the PHA way back in the late '60s and early '70s. There's a few from those years still active. Back then it was a relatively cheap way to go racing; the big drawback was not much seat time over a race weekend.
I sold my old white '95 ACR sedan to a hillcimb guy from PA back in 2006 or 07. I always wondered what became of it, but never found any pictures.
Could be, thanks! His name was Bacon or Broom or something like that - a noun for a last name. I'd have to look into the files and see the bill of sale I wrote out.
Though with that paint job, that could be any one of a dozen ex-SSC cars, too. I hope the old ACR is still cranking away out there. I kind of miss it sometimes.
Hill climbs are alive and doing well, I just don't do them anymore. I wouldn't mind it, but the budget needs to stay focused on road racing my BMW. I used to run this:
I race with some of the guys who also run the PA Hillclimb events. One of my friends, Tom Knorr, used to be the Pres of that organization. Looks like fun, but as stated above, there's only so much time/money, and I'm focused on (vintage) road racing right now.

Hillclimbs are alive and well in New England. NEHA ( hillclimb.org ). We currently race 4 Vermont mountains and have 6-7 events per year with 40-60 participants per event. Low cost, very friendly, and fun.
Vermont Sports Car also brought back Mt Washington this year. The commitment was this one time only, but the event went so well there is a lot of hope it is repeated. Not exactly low cost (it cost me the about the same as the whole season with NEHA) but for me it sure was fun, challenging and friendly.

He still is Pres.
