After a pleasant evening Friday night with a bunch of Ohio GRMers and PACC racing in Dayton. Andrew and Paula then continued on to the gathering of the Drag Week contestants.
We have two teams competing that I know of with PACC and Pat of Scaries fame.
Hot Rod apparently took some notice of the PACC car

Of course it's all because of all the work I put in on the car on my way back from Boston
BTW the contestants will be at Indianapolis on Tuesday..
Very cool. I'm not sure how I feel about drag racing, but I'd really like to go on drag week.

not so sure how a Dodge Shadow fits in around here, but we are here and ready to go.
Also saw David Melton here who was working the auto Ross at the LS Fesf. Great to catch up with other GRM'ers.
Awesome; we are rooting for our GRM brethren!
Thanks for the info I will be there to cheer Andy on.

Keep it in the front of the pack and you'll fit in just fine.

you'll fit in just fine when you put some high-dollar cars on the trailer (figuratively, of course, i know drag week cars aren't trailered).
diggin' the use of "Penn" instead of "PA" on the door!

Also known as an Autocross, looks like autocorrect strikes again. ;)
I snuck away from the Optima 3S challenge long enough to say hi and see some pretty impressive machines being unloaded. There were massive toter homes with stacker trailers unloading drag cars and corresponding trailers there are some DEEP pockets you guys are competing against. I wish I had more time to check out your cars and catch up, good luck to both teams.
Good luck Andy and Pat! Show them how it's done GRM style.
Good luck!
(As an aside, does anyone know a site doing live Drag Week news?)
In reply to Javelin:
This is all I've found: 2013 Drag Week
Edit: Found this page: Live feed page
I watched on and off this morning didn't see either car go though. Did see that 6.7xxx and holy crap that's fast.
Is there a list of who's in and who's out still and how they did today?
Man do I love the unlimited cars.

There usually is, but I can't find it.
Did Pat make it? I don't see any pics of his car.
Day 1 results seem to be here: Day 1 results
Nice; I see a GLH and a Spirit but I thought pats car was black not red.
I'm liking watching this more than I expected.
I read through the class structure and I'm really intrigued by it. Having to drive between tracks and have consistency all week makes it much more interesting than drag racing usually is. Maybe my wagon should be a drag car?
I am seriously thinking RX5.0 for next year
