Had to halt reinstalling the bumpers due to losing the only 12mm wrench I had/needed to put them on.

I really like it. And it probably only weighs about 1700-1800 lbs. Back when I was in college I could get upper 40s mpg in my CRX on the highway. The best ever was 49 point something. One way from the house to college was just short of 500 miles which was about 11 gallons of gas! Take that Prius!
Fantastic! Love the old Hondas!
I had an '85 CRX DX, my first Honda. It got over 40mpg all the time, had to ready beat on it to get less. On longer drives, it would get over 50mpg. It was a great car and I'd buy another in a heartbeat if I could find an unmodified, non rusty example. I'd spend way too much on an Si version with a/c.
Sweet! The JDM mirrors kinda fit it..I guess they should, since it's a Honda. Love it. What tires did you find for it? (all of us with less than 16in wheels want to know)
Thanks for all the compliments and other words, lolol.
Lolol @ tire comment. I have a set of Shelby's that have 175/50-13's on them and then these factory wheels have 155R12's.

Sweet car; love the fender mirrors!
That car needs a lot more 185/60-13 love than the 175's can ever offer.

Those mirrors work awesomely, too, man. I had no idea they would be as good as they are.
And this car is just a cruising car. My favorite tire size (since 1990) has been the 175/50-13 size. Kind of goes back to my lowriding days.
I do appreciate the compliment, man. Thanks.

With half the content, too.
That little bugger is FRESH. And I freely admit, quite regularly in fact, that I don't care for some Honda.
Looks great without bumpers. I hope you're going to duplicate the original stripes too as they really made the car.
I remember when my neighbor's father ( a dentist) came home with a brand new one of those. He had a long commute and wanted to save on gas. I thought the idea of a car proudly displaying an acronym for it's engine technology was really far out! Compared to the Impala Sedan and Dodge Voyager Van we had, it was like a little toy. I also remember thinking that this Honda company is never going to make it with cars like that! (I was wrong on that last point)

My 1800 lb honda also get 50s mpg, with airbags, abs, ac, and 300k miles on it. :p And thats at 75mph, not 55 like back then..
But undeniable technological/mpg superiority over 70s-80s cars aside.......
I really like the way that car looks. It's definitely got some panache that a newer honda hatch lacks.

What kind of Honda is that, a Goldwing?

I think you meant, "with all the unnecessary bloat removed."
